લઘુકથા

         મમ્મીને બિલકુલ ન ગમ્યું. આખા દિવસના અંતે પણ એ જ...? આટલો બધો ખર્ચો કર્યા પછી પણ કેમ.....?

         રાત્રે બાર વાગતા જ મોબાઈલમાં હેપી બર્થ ડેનું ગીત વગાડયું હતું. ખુશી જાગી ગઈ હતી. જોયું; મમ્મી કેક લઈને હાજર હતી. નાનકડું બર્થ ડે સેલિબ્રેશન કરીને પાછાં બધાં સૂઈ ગયા હતા.

     સવારે જયારે એલાર્મ સાથે તે ઊઠી હતી, ઓશિકાની પાસે એને જોઈતી ગિફ્ટ પડી હતી. નહાવા ગઈ ત્યારે બીજી બર્થ ડે ગિફ્ટ - ફેન્સી ફ્રોક, લોંગ શૂઝ. તૈયાર થઈને સ્કૂલે જવા સ્કૂટી કાઢી, સીટ પર એક ચબરખી ચોટાડેલી હતી, "ડિયર, ડેકીમાં ચોકલેટ-બાર પડ્યાં છે, તેં બર્થડેનો વાયદો કર્યો હતોને મિત્રોને, ખવડાવજે."

           પાછી આવી ત્યારે મમ્મીએ એમની નોકરી પરથી જ વીડિયો કૉલ કર્યો હતો, "બેટા! વન મોર સરપ્રાઈઝ ફોર યુ! મિત્રો સાથે કેનાલ ફ્રન્ટ પર પિત્ઝા પાર્ટી કરવી હતીને! યુ કેન ગો. પૈસા ડ્રોઅરમાંથી લઈ લેજે."

         પાર્ટી કરીને પાછી ફરી ત્યાં સુધી મમ્મી પણ નોકરી પરથી આવી ગઈ હતી. એને ભાવતો ગાજરનો હલવો બનાવી તૈયાર રાખ્યો હતો. 

        બધું જ કામ પૂરું કરી જયારે સૂવાની તૈયારી ચાલતી હતી, મમ્મીના હાથમાં ફરી એક ગિફ્ટ તૈયાર હતી. એણે કહેલી એક એક વસ્તુ યાદ કરીને મમ્મીએ આપી હતી. પણ દીકરીના ચહેરા પર એ ખુશી જોવા મળી નહોતી. મમ્મીને બિલકુલ ના ગમ્યું. ચિડાઈને પૂછ્યું, "હવે બીજું તમને શું જોઈએ? કેમ ખુશ નથી દેખાતી?"

         કરમાયેલા ચહેરે ખુશીએ કહ્યું, "મમ્મી! તું...." બોલતાંની સાથે મમ્મીના ગળે વળગી પડી.

લઘુકથા 

       પ્રતીકને જન્મદિવસ પર કુરિયરમાં એક ભેટ મળી. મોકલનારનું નામ અને સરનામું વાંચી હેબતાઈ ગયો. અનેક શંકા-કુશંકા વચ્ચે ધ્રુજતા હાથે કવર ખોલવા લાગ્યો. અંદરથી કચેરીનું કોઇ ફરમાન નહિ, પરંતુ એક જૂની ડાયરી નીકળી. ભય હળવાશમાં ફેરવાયો.

      એની પત્નીને ડાયરી લખવાની કાયમની ટેવ. ડાયરી એની જ હતી અને મોકલનાર એની દીકરી. બાર વર્ષ પહેલાં, હતાશાની એ ક્ષણે પત્ની- દીકરીને શહેરના ઘરમાં સૂતી મૂકીને વતનમાં ચાલ્યો આવ્યો હતો. કાયરતાની સીમા ઓળંગી એમનો સંપર્ક કરવાનો કે એમની ભાળ લેવાની ક્યારે તસ્દી લીધી નહોતી.

       ડાયરીના એક-એક પાનાં ફરતાં ગયાં, એમના લગ્ન, દીકરીનો જન્મ, દીકરીનું પહેલીવાર પડખે ફરવું, પહેલીવાર ઊભું થવું, બાબરી, જન્મદિવસની ઉજવણી, જેવી તમામ ક્ષણો પુનર્જીવિત થઇ.

      એની આંખો અને હૃદય ભરાઈ આવ્યા. એ તરત ઊભો થયો બેગ પેક કરવા માટે.

लघुकथा

        स्कूल की पोशाक पहने हुए दो लड़के दौड़ते-दौड़ते चाय की केतली पर आकर रुक गए।

      "आजाद! चल, मेम बुला रही हैं।" हांफते-हांफते उन्होंने आवाज लगाई।

        "नहीं, नहीं! मैं नहीं आऊंगा! मालिक मारेगा। उसने आज दिन भर दुकान छोड़ने के लिए मना किया है।" एक ग्राहक को चाय-खारी देते हुए उसने कहा।

        "अरे, चलना भाई। तेरा नंबर आया है, कुछ तो इनाम मिलेगा ही।"

        पड़ोस में ही था स्कूल। कप-कितली फेंक, दौड़ कर स्कूल पहुंच जाना था उसे। पल भर के लिए उसका मन स्कूल के आंगन  में अरमानों के पंख लगा घूम आया। माता पिता के जीते जी उनके साथ बिताए हुए सुनहरे पल उसके मन को बेचैन करने लगे। 

        "एक कटिंग चाय....।" आए हुए नए ग्राहक ने आवाज लगाई। उसका संमोहन टूटा । उज्जवल भविष्य की उम्मीदों ने वहीं दम तोड़ दिया। और उसका मन वर्तमान की कड़वाहट से फिर भर गया। 

        "जाओ तुम लोग। अभी अगर मैं कहीं गया तो मालिक ये कपड़े वापस ले लेगा। शाम को मुझे खाने नहीं देगा। दुकान से निकाल देगा तो मैं रात में कहां सोऊंगा।"उदासी ने उसके चेहरे को और शुष्क कर दिया।

         इसी निर्दोष नोकझोंक के बीच स्कूल से माइक की तेज और स्पष्ट आवाज उनके कानों में पड़ी। "स्वतंत्रता और मौलिक अधिकार' निबंध-लेखन प्रतियोगिता में प्रथम पुरस्कार पाया है, आठवीं कक्षा के होनहार विद्यार्थी आजाद ने!

મુક્તક મણિકા

અણસાર

કોરું કાગળ, ગ્રંથના અણસાર જાગે;

ધુન  સુરીલી, ગીતના  રણકાર  જાગે;

બાગમાં  ઉડતાં પતંગીયા, જેમ ઉડવું;

મુક્ત પાંખો છે બદન, ભણકાર જાગે.

ધ્યેય

જો મુસાફર પંથથી જોડાય ના,

તો પછી મંજિલ સુધી એ જાય ના.

ચાલજો રસ્તા ઉપર અવિરત તમે

ઘેર બેઠા ધ્યેય સુધી પહોંચાય ના.

તો શું થશે?

ખોટું બોલી, જંગ છો ને જીતશો, તો શું થશે ?

સાચું ભૂલી, જૂઠ ને બસ પૂજશો, તો શું થશે?

છો કઠિન હો માર્ગ સત્ નો! હો ખુમારી ઉર મહીં,

જીવવા ખાતર, ડરી કાયર થશો,  તો શું થશે?

સખા

ચીર પૂરી સાચવી મુજ લાજ છે.

મેળવ્યો તારા થકી સુખ-તાજ છે.

કૃષ્ણની કૃષ્ણા બની હું શોભતી,

તું સખા, તારી સખાવત, નાજ છે.

આશ

શૂન્ય નહિ આ જીંદગી, શૂન્યતા અંકાય ના.

મન મગજ ખાલીપણાથી કદી ભરમાય ના.

શ્વાસ સાથે આશની ગૂંથણી મજબૂત છે,

અરિ બની નિષ્ક્રિયતા, લક્ષ્યને વિસરાય ના.

कहानी

"मम्मी मेरा बर्थ डे आने वाला है, ना ? मुझे गिफ्ट में झालर वाला फ्रॉक देना।"

"फ्रॉक? जो रक्खा है उसका क्या करेंगे, बेटा?"

"फिट होते हैं मुझे। एक साल में कपड़े छोटे नहीं हो जाएँगे क्या, मम्मी?"

"हाँ, बेटा! लॉकडाउन में तो सब के कपड़े छोटे और फिट हो गए हैं। तुम्हारे बर्थडे पर जब तुम्हारी चाची आएँगी तो गरिमा के लिए उन्हें सारे छोटे कपड़े दे देने पड़ेंगे। सब नए ही तो हैं।"

"हाँ, मम्मी यही ठीक है।"

शाम को जब पापा आए तो तेरह वर्षीय रिद्धी ने चहकते हुए पापा से पूछा, 

  "पापा, दस दिन बाद क्या है?"

"मेरी गुड़ियारानी का जन्मदिन।"

"पापा, मुझे लॉन्ग कोट ला देंगे? आपने पीछले बर्थडे पर भी कहा था और फिर आज तक नहीं लाए।"

"हाँ, बेटा, ला दूँगा। अभी आया हूँ। फ्रेश तो होने दो।"

रिद्धि खुश होकर साइकिल पर चक्कर लगाने बाहर निकली। घर से कुछ दूर सड़क पर पहुँची तो उसका स्कर्ट साइकिल की चैन में फँस गया। वह गिर पड़ी। मगर गिरी तो उसका स्कार्फ किनारे के बबूल की झाड़ियों में फँस गया। उसे चोट आई। वह पूरी तरह से ना तो जमीन पर नीचे गिरी हुई थी ना ही झाड़ी में लटकी हुई। सँभल नहीं पा रही थी। उठना मुश्किल था। रूँवासी हो इधर-उधर देखने लगी।

   सड़क के किनारे के खुले मैदान में एक अधनँगा लड़का कभी उसकी ओर देख रहा था तो कभी अपनी उड़ती हुई पतंग की ओर।

     एक हाथ में उड़ती पतंग संभाले उस तक पहुँचा। अपना हाथ लँबाया और कहा, "उठो।

लेकिन हाथ लँबा कर लड़के के हाथ को पकड़ पाना मुश्किल था। नहीं कर पाई। और रोने लगी। कमर से नीचे उतरती हुई, जगह-जगह से फटी हुई पेंट पहने हुए काला कलूटा लगभग ग्यारह साल का लड़का, जो ना जाने कितने दिनों से नहाया तक नहीं होगा, फिर से चिल्लाया,

    "मैडमजी, उठिए! मेरी पतंग छूटी जा रही है। पूरे पाँच दिनों की लूट के बाद एक पतंग उड़ाने मिली है, वह भी कट जाएगी, अगर मैंने नहीं संभाला तो।"

     पतंग और रिद्धि की जिम्मेदारियों के बीच लड़का धर्मसंकट में पड़ गया।

     रिद्धि अब चिल्लाकर रोने लगी। उसने तुरंत पतंग छोड़ उसे दोनों हाथों से उठाया। रिध्धी उठी। अपने आप को सँभाला। अपने कपड़ों को देखा और उस लड़के पर फिर चिल्लाई,

    "यह क्या किया? मेरे नए-नए स्कर्ट पर अपने काले हाथ का धब्बा क्यों लगा दिया? मैं नहीं पहनूँगी अब इसे।"

     "तो मुझे दे दो मैडम। मैं गले में लिपटा लूँगा। वैसे भी यह पूस की ठंड जान ही ले लेगी।"

झल्लाकर उसने साइकिल घुमाई और चल पड़ी घर की ओर । घर आकर मम्मी को सब बताया और फिर कपड़े बदलने अँदर गई। कोहनी और घुटने पर लगी खरोंच देख उसे लड़के ने फैलाया हुआ हाथ याद आया। उसका गँदा मटमैला हाथ! उसका ध्यान उसकी स्कर्ट पर पड़ा। इस बार उसे गुस्सा नहीं आया। काला धब्बा देख उसे लड़के का काला नँगा तन याद आया। "आखिर इस ठंडी में वह कैसे रहता होगा!" उसे एक-एक कर लड़के की सारी बातें याद आईं।

     अगले दिन शाम को वह जींस-टोप पहन निकल पड़ी सड़क पर साइकिल की सैर करने। उसने वहाँ, उसी मैदान में फिर से कुछ लड़कों को पतंग के लिए दौड़ते और छीनाझपटी करते हुए देखा। अधनँगे, काले, मटमैले लड़कों के बीच उसने उस लड़के को पहचान लिया। पतंग के लिए झगड़ते हुए वह गिर पड़ा था और पतंग फट गई थी। रिद्धि वहीं से वापस घर लौट आई।

    अपने पॉकेट-मनी का पर्स निकाला। सारा पैसा गिन डाला। कुछ सोचने लगी। मम्मी के पास जाकर पूछा,

    "मम्मी फ्रॉक कितने की आएगी?" माँ-बेटी के बीच कुछ हिसाब हुआ। वह बोली,

     "मुझे फ्रॉक मत दो। उतने पैसे मैरे पॉकेट-मनी में डाल दो। पापा और चाची से भी कह दो कि कोई गिफ्ट ना दें। उनसे पैसे मुझे पॉकेट मनी में दे दो। मेरी स्कूल के लिए चोकलेट के पैसे भी पाॅकेट-मनी में दे दो।"

    बात कुछ समझदारी वाली लगी। मम्मी मान गईं। बर्थडे आया। वैसे ही हुआ जैसा वह चाहती थी। बर्थडे सादगी से मना कर भी वह उत्साहित थी। बर्थ डे पार्टी को लेकर उसके निर्णय में आये हुए बदलाव को देख मम्मी-पापा के आश्चर्यचकित थे I कारण जान कर हेरान तो हुए , किन्तु बिटिया की समजदारी पर खुश थेI दूसरे दिन सारा परिवार  पेंट-शर्ट, स्वेटर  और कुछ पतंगे खरीद  उसी खुले मैदान में उस लडके को ढूंढते हुए पहुँच गए।

    English is an interesting language. The most specific characteristic of this global language is it is spoken worldwide. Therefore, this language has become very rich. Moreover, it is enriching day by day. It has adopted many words from different languages spoken in all the corners of the world as well as this language goes through many word formation processes. One of the wonderful processes is clipping. Let’s understand ‘clipping’ with few examples.

CLIPPING:

Clipping is the word formation process which consists in the reduction of a word to one of its parts. These words are called clipped words.

The role of G-Shala in pedagogy

 

Introduction and origin of G-Shala app

          G-Shala is an acronym for ‘Gujarat Students' Holistic Adaptive Learning App’. It is an education and reference application for teachers as well as for students that can be conveniently used in any android device.

          Following the Corona pandemic, the education sector and academic community were forced to adopt online teaching learning mode. While the online ecosystem was not new, it was still in its very early stages. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, advocating the adoption and integration of technology in K-12 education and digitization of the schooling system, was redefining learning for the future. In that backdrop, the Gujarat government has launched a unique initiative called G-Shala - an adaptive learning platform that ensures continuity of learning.

         SchoolNet India, along with the entire Shiksha Abhiyan, Gujarat Council of School Education, Government of Gujarat and Gujarat Council of School Education, GOG, creates an innovative solution to support and strengthen continuity of learning for students. G-Shala (Gujarat Student Holistic Adaptive Learning App) born out of this partnership went live on 10th June 2021.

         This holistic adaptive learning application for students is embedded in a Learning Management System (LMS) for seamless digital integration of education design and implementation. G-Shala is a platform-agnostic and device-independent application that maps digital interactives, 2D/3D augmented e-content to textbooks for all subjects and covers 5-12 standards. It is based on Gujarat State Education Board (GSEB) syllabus. Embedded in a learning management system, G-Shala creates an effective teaching-learning ecosystem. It provides comprehensive support to schools, administrators, teachers and students to ensure smooth and harmonious functioning. School management and administrators can monitor the performance of individual teachers and students. With the help of an LMS, teachers get easy access to a dashboard that gives them a 360-degree view of all the classes and subjects assigned to them. Teachers can also create their own teaching-learning materials in addition to using the existing materials available through the app to conduct classes. They can push assignments and assessments to individual students or groups of students to create collaborative learning opportunities. All these together ensure effective achievement of the desired learning outcomes.

 

Pedagogy- the term

          The term ‘pedagogy’ refers to the way teachers teach, both in theory and in practice. Pedagogy is shaped by a teacher's teaching beliefs and concerns the interplay between cultures and different ways of learning.

 

          Pedagogy describes the art and science of teaching students. The word comes from the Greek word 'pydagogos', a combination of 'paidos' (child) and 'agogos' (leader). The advent of writing around 3000 BC. leading to a type of learning that was more self-reflective and concerned with skill and knowledge building. It was also around this time that Plato advocated an instructional system that used the Socratic method that uses questions to help students gain meaning. Henri Giroux, scholar, cultural critic, and one of the pioneers of public pedagogy and cultural studies, writes, “Pedagogy is not about training, it is about educating people critically to be self-reflective, to be able to critically address their relationships with others. is is and is with the wider world."

 

The role of G-Shala in pedagogy

           The teaching-learning process, or the education process, has been defined as a systematic, sequential, planned course of action on the part of both the teacher and learner to achieve the outcomes of teaching and learning. Teaching Education in values Through Games in Primary Education. The G-Shala app provides such vital and entertaining atmosphere in the classroom for students which lighten up the process for the teachers also.

           The content-graphics provided in it are very entertaining and attractive so that the student can easily understand. Students gets the benefits if one video of the same lesson is watched every day. They become able to learn and repeat learnings by their selves. They even
be able to take the exam as well as can also check the report of the child.
